Once again, David Marshall at VMBlog has gathered up predictions for 2022 from technology leaders. Check out his ongoing series, and see what Bonitasoft CEO and others see as they peek into the coming year.

Here's a taste of what Miguel Valdes Faura has shared: 5 predictions about work, the workplace, and work tools, as all 3 are evolving rapidly because or - or in spite of - the effects of the global pandemic.

1) Here come "autonomous" business applications

Autonomous business applications will be independent of the development platform - and each other, as we see technologies emerge that will be able to support business applications running independently of the DPA platforms they are built on...

Not everyone is ready to shift to microservices architecture, even if they see independent and easy changeout as a key advantage. Autonomous apps are coming as an alternative to full microservices.

2) Process analytics will offer better visibility for better decision making

Data analytics and process automation taken together : we'll see a rapid movement towards ways to visualize process data...

We already have a widely used process visualization standard with BPMN2.0 (Business Process Modeling and Notation), with a mature market ready for process analytics based on this standard.

3) Company culture is changing as the workplace changes

Employees deserve - and the best companies will give them - real recognition instead of trendy perks...

Among the many things we all learned from the Covid pandemic and its effect on the workplace, is that the effective workplace of the future is not only hybrid remote but intrinsically motivated.

4) The hybrid workplace creates the hybrid employee/customer journey

Employees working remotely need the same kind of smooth, painless and supported experiences that we strive to give our customers...

Something interesting that's newly emerging from the "hybrid workplace" that combines remote and on-site work: a hybrid employee-customer journey that integrates both through business processes.

5) Security, security, security

What's keeping IT up at night? The workforce of the future is having an effect on corporate IT in multiple ways...

According to a 2021CIO Tech Poll, 65% of company decision makers responding across multiple industries will increase spending for cybersecurity in 2022 - and only 1% anticipate decreased spending.

Aucun projet d'infrastructure, aucun sprint IT dédié.
