To give employees more time to work on a topic of their choosing, Bonitasoft implemented the “It’s Happening Today” monthly ritual. Every month, daily activities are put on hold for a day so that each person can dedicate their time to a specific project/topic that they choose.
This can be anything from learning a new skill, trying a new tool, working on a work-related project, gathering information on new technologies, and so on.
This initiative is an ideal framework for everyone to experiment and discover new things and/or express their talent. The day’s objectives are set by the employee and failure is welcomed because even if the hoped-for goals aren’t met, it was a learning experience.
